As our Intellectual Property Specialist - Nike Golf, you'll plan and manage Intellectual Property prosecution for Nike Golf Advances Research & Development, including overseeing all utility and design patent disclosure documents; drafting applications pertaining to newly developed technologies; reviewing and advising on the applications drafted by patent specialists, and participating in final review of Patent Applications to be submitted to the Patent Office. You'll conduct risk assessment analysis and design-around solutions to club and ball product engines, in an effort to avoid possible Intellectual Property infringement, especially in the area of utility patents. You'll liaison with design patent, trademark and copyright teams, litigation team and external counsel and assist in preparation of utility and design patent disclosure documents, draft patent applications, and clearance letters. You'll manage and maintain the system of obtaining timely disclosures of new technologies and IP strategic plans from Advanced Research & Development teams. In addition, you'll maintain a high-level of awareness of all current development projects, production techniques, materials, and patents relating to Nike Golf and its competitors.

As our Managing Attorney - Intellectual Property, you'll develop and implement long-range strategies for the acquisition, protection and enforcement of Nike's intellectual property rights worldwide. You'll defend the company against patent, trademark, trade secret and other intellectual property infringement claims. You'll work closely with the business to provide proactive guidance on intellectual property issues, including technology licensing and acquisition. You'll also provide leadership and management for the IP Litigation practice group, and actively manage outside counsel. In addition, you'll provide outreach and education services on common patent and intellectual property issues.
